150 New Police Recruits Take their Oath
Camp Ruperto Kangleon, Palo, Leyte – A total of 150 new Patrolmen and Patrolwomen have taken their oath on January 30, 2020 at the PRO8 Grandstand administered by no less than PBGEN FERDINAND O DIVINA, Regional Director.
Of the more or less 1, 600 applicants who registered online, only 150 passed the rigorous process for the 2nd Cycle Calendar Year 2019 Attrition Quota. They will be under the supervision of the Regional Training Director of Regional Training Center 8 (RTC8), PLTCOL MARLON D PAISTE.
The 150 newest addition to the PRO8 police force is composed of 120 males and 30 females. They will undergo mandatory training, that is, the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) for 6 months at the Regional Training Center (RTC) at Kuta Kankabato, San Jose, Tacloban City which will be followed by another 5 months of Field Training Program (FTP) and 1 month evaluation at the Regional Special Training Unit (RSTU).
“In line with the guidance of no less than our Chief PNP, to always be a reflection of a disciplined police officer and an instrument for change towards a culture of professionalism and service excellence. Now, this is my greater challenge, to endure the next 6 months of strenuous activities and numerous tests that will measure your capability, strength and more importantly, your unity as a class. Always remember that you as a police officer are the PNP itself. Tayong lahat po ay iisa na bumubuo sa ating organisasyon. WE ARE A TEAM. We should move as one, think as one, SERVE AS ONE,” RD Divina said.
For the next Recruitment Cycle, qualified applicants are advised to secure the necessary initial documentary requirements while waiting for the announcement by the PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM).
