Camp Ruperto Kangleon, Campetic, Palo, Leyte – Police Regional Office 8, under the leadership of PBGEN RONALDO F DE JESUS, Regional Director, identifies authorized dealers and retailers of firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices in Eastern Visayas, pursuant to Executive Order No. 28, “An Act Providing for the Regulation and Control of the Use of Firecrackers and other Pyrotechnic Devices”.
As of this date, there are four (4) registered dealers, all from Tacloban City, to include Alta Mega Trader, Barstow Grain Supply and Marketing, KJK Fireworks Supply and Tacloban Tap Commercial Inc., while number of authorized retailers now reaches to 45.
Accordingly, the ten (10) authorized retailers in Eastern Samar are Inok R. Mapandi, Nasrodin D. Dimapunong, Moh’d Hizzam P. Orintar, Jomar M. Hadjitaha, Buhari A. Pandapatan, Arafat R. Rapiz, Amerhassan D. Pandapatan, Habib M. Pandapatan, Ikie S. Odita and Edwin D. Buenafe. Registered retailers in Samar are Azis M. Cabib, Arep S. Ampatua, Joharry P. Mamaki, Alex D. Ali, Jamiron P. Masacal, Normila P. Pagsidan, Haron M. Omar, Abo A. Panga-an and Romy D. Dela Cruz.
Further, Leyte Province has nine (9) retailers namely Joel Pusay, Eduardo B. Chu, Abdul Samad Sarip Pili, Jihan U. Emam, Kodaipa T. Emam, Nobaisah K. Tanggote, Raihana M. Mangondaya and Sobaida A. Imam. Meanwhile, Biliran has identified Elias Ali, Jasmine Ampaso, Ashlima Ampaso, Hairah E. Ampaso, Lanie Bara-acal and Jam Taratingan Elian as their authorized retailers; while Southern Leyte has Jumailah Emam, Martha Millarosas, Noraya Pagador, Rasmia S. Putan and Salima Sambolawan.
In Northern Samar, registered retailers are Allan V. Sayde and Alvin E. Chan while Tacloban City only authorizes MAC Fireworks.
PBGEN DE JESUS reminded the public that all firecrackers from unregistered dealers and retailers will be confiscated as they are considered illegal.
“Any establishments other than the authorized dealers and retailers listed by this PRO shall be given corresponding sanctions. When using firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices, always observe safety precautions to prevent injuries. As much as possible, I personally recommend the use of alternative merry making.” RD De Jesus said.
