PRO8 Celebrates Sta. Cruzan 2019

 

        Camp Kangleon, Palo, Leyte – Police Regional Office 8 under the leadership of Eastern Visayas Police Director PBGEN DIONARDO BERNARDO CARLOS, celebrated the Sta. Cruzan 2019 on May 31, 2019 at the PRO8 Chapel, Camp Kangleon, Palo, Leyte.

        A mass was offered and attended by PRO8 key officials and its personnel officiated by PLTCOL JOSELITO BORJA, the Regional Pastoral Officer of this PRO. Afterward, a short program was done.

In the program, queens gracefully made their way to the stage and introduced themselves and the queens they represented before the audience.

The highlight of the program was the awarding for the Best Arch which goes to Office of the Regional Headquarters Support Division (RHSD).

“Police Regional Office 8 is one with the religious community in honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary through a month-long novena which ended with a celebration as a Filipino tradition,” says RD Carlos. He also added that the activity is one way in reaching out to the community showing the religious side of the PNP.

PRO8 Turns-over 4 Units Patrol Jeep and Blesses 325 Units Handgun and 16 Units HONDA Motorcycles

 

              Camp Kangleon, Palo, Leyte – Police Regional Office 8 under the flagship of Eastern Visayas Police Director PBGEN DIONARDO BERNARDO CARLOS, turned-over 4 units of Patrol Jeep Single Cab 4×2 (TOYOTA HI-LUX) to 4 Police Stations in the region during the Distinguished Visitor’s Program on May 27, 2019 at the PRO8 Grandstand.

              Police Stations of San Isidro, Leyte, Biliran, Biliran, Malitbog and Bontoc, both of Southern Leyte are the recipients of said patrol jeeps.

              Along with this activity was the blessing of 325 units of Taurus TS9 Handgun and 16 units HONDA XRM Motorcycles which will be distributed to different Police Provincial and City Police Offices of this region.

              Director Victoria F. Esber, Regional Director, Civil Service Commission, Regional Office 8 graced the event as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. Also in this activity, Dir. Esber awarded the CSC Pamanang Lingkod Bayani Award which includes the Posthumous Award, scholarship and financial assistance worth Php 100,000.00 to the immediate surviving families of 6 personnel of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB8) who were killed in police operation last June 25, 2018 namely; Pat Edwin P Ebrado, Pat Julie Y Escalo, Pat Phil Jrey G Mendigo, Pat Wyndell S Noromor, Pat Rowel M Reyes and Pat Julius R Suarez.

              “PRO8 is grateful enough to receive these assets for a faster and efficient public service to the community and we are happy that thru our joined efforts with the CSC, the families of the 6 KIA especially their children are granted with scholarships and financial assistance which could somehow, ease the pain of losing a loved one,” says PBGEN Carlos.
